Serving our community is one of the things that we thoroughly enjoy doing as a staff and as a student body. Every year the staff begins the year with serving at several local organizations. We have had the privilege of serving at The Hope Center, Must Ministries, Marietta Thrift Store as well as other local organizations. The students do different projects depending on the grade level. Each year we provide gifts for missionaries that visit us in early October. The high school does service through Must Ministries, The Hope Center, Papa’s Pantry, as well as other local organizations. Middle School helps do small projects for Must Ministries and our favorite service activity is Rake and Run. This is a day designated to raking people’s yards in our local community. We always have a great time and are able to rake approximately 20 yards each year. At Christmas time SHCS staff and students also serve families needing assistance by doing a variety of projects that are for local families. This sometimes includes a blanket drive for the homeless, collecting Toys for Tots, or partnering with other local organizations to help them with providing Christmas for those in need. Serving others is a great opportunity for our staff and students to get involved in our local community and show others the love of Christ.
