picture22Shiloh Hills Christian High School endeavors to provide an education that integrates academics, service, and extracurricular activities all within a Biblical worldview. The curriculum for each course is challenging and prepares students for college and to make an impact in our world for Jesus Christ. Curriculum has been carefully chosen and includes Christian and some secular textbooks. Courses are offered on a semester basis for which students earn ½ credit per successful completion of each course. The day begins at 8:00 a.m. and continues with 7 class periods ending with a half hour of study hall at 3:00 p.m. The core academic classes include English, Science, Math, Social Studies/History, and Bible. Two years of foreign language is also a requirement for graduation. Honors classes are offered to students in 9-12 grades and Advanced Placement classes are also an option for juniors and seniors in English, History, Science, and Calculus. Bible is a weekly class which includes chapel service on Thursday. Students have access to a full time youth pastor on campus as well as the school Guidance Counselor.  There is a variety of elective classes which include 2D and 3D Art, Choir, Hand bells, SAT Prep, Team Sports, Weight Training, Drama, Cooking, Yearbook, Auto Shop, Band, and additional single semester electives. ESL is an option for our international students. There is an emphasis on completing service hours for which students may earn national recognition at the end of the school year. Students also have the opportunity to apply for the student leadership team, IMPACT, which focuses on training students in being effective leaders on our campus, in our community, and in the world. There are many opportunities to engage in athletics. The Challenger teams have been competitive, and athletes are encouraged to participate for the love and enjoyment of the sport in a Christian atmosphere. Shiloh Hills Christian School has produced graduates who are able to attend any college or university of their choice. From the first day of high school retreat to the last days leading up to graduation, Shiloh Hills high school students can expect an education that will prepare them to meet life’s challenges with confidence and the faith to persevere.
